Veteran actor Domingo “Menggie” Cobarrubias dies due to pneumonia complications. He was 68.

Menggie’s unexpected passing was confirmed by his niece Patricia Prudon.

“Thank you for being a father, a lawyer, a general and a whole lot more roles to Philippine cinema. You will surely be missed,” she wrote on Facebook.

His son, Gino, was mournful through a comment under a Facebook post:

Menggie’s son, Gino

Whereas his wife Gina Jorge Cobarrubias took to Facebook to express her appreciation towards her husband. “Goodbye my love. Thank you for the 30 wonderful years. I love you.”

Apart from being hospitalized due to lung problems, the family also insisted to have the actor tested for COVID-19.

Hours before he took his last breath, he managed to bid goodbye on Facebook.

Good bye
