Maymay Entrata is ready to channel her inner ‘amakabogera’ as the newest cover girl of Star Magic’s digital video magazine “Slay.”

“Ang pagiging amakabogera ay hindi lang yung sa nakikita natin physically. Nagba-base ito sa katauhan natin. Natural naman lumalabas ang pagiging confident mo kapag fully accepted mo kung sino ka. Kasi the more mo ina-accept yung sarili mong ganda ay nawawala na rin yung insecurities mo,” said Maymay.

But before she was able to embrace being an ‘amakabogera,’ Maymay revealed that she had a lot of insecurities and had to conform to the standards of people.

“Marami akong insecurities dati. Umabot sa point na ginawa ko lahat kung ano po yung sinasabi nilang standard of beauty. Nag-explore ako ng iba’t ibang characters na kala ko ako pero hindi pala. May nagsabi sa akin na hindi ako maganda, malaki bunganga ko, payat payat ko, at hindi marunong manamit. Finorce ko yung self ko maging iba hanggang sa napagod ako at hindi ako masaya,” she stated.

But eventually, Maymay realized that people should seek God’s approval rather than the approval of others.

“Siguro ang maa-advise ko ay maging strong and choose God’s approval and hindi po approval ng iba. In God’s approval mararamdaman mo yung peace pero kapag people’s approval hindi ka talaga masa-satisfy. Magbibigay lang siya ng disappointment,” she added.

For the Kapamilya actress, her definition of sexy is when she is happy and smiling.

“Ang sexy para sa akin ay kapag masiyahin at humble ka. Hindi mo naman kailangan i-brag yung meron ka. Lalabas yun ng kusa based sa pagkatao mo.Kapag masaya ako feeling ko sexy ako. Kapag palagi akong nakangiti tingin ko ang ganda ko,” she shared.
