The latest CARMA PH CEO Media Index Report 2025 has identified Manny V. Pangilinan (MVP) and Ramon S. Ang (RSA) as the most visible and positively perceived chief executives in Philippine media, underscoring how CEO visibility and credibility directly influence corporate reputation.

The Index, conducted by CARMA, one of the world’s leading media intelligence firms, tracked media coverage of ten of the country’s most influential business leaders across television, print, and online platforms. It assessed not only the volume of coverage but also the tone and thematic framing, evaluating attributes such as leadership, foresight, innovation, corporate governance, and public trust.

The results showed that MVP and RSA consistently topped both visibility and credibility measures. Pangilinan’s name was most frequently associated with infrastructure, telecommunications, and sports development, while Ang was consistently mentioned in stories tied to aviation, energy, food and beverage, and philanthropy.

The Index was formally introduced by Dr. Ron Jabal, DBA, APR, Chairman & CEO of PAGEONE Group and Founding President of the Reputation Management Association of the Philippines (RMAP), during his well-applauded plenary talk at the recently concluded 32nd National PR Congress of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP).

“CEOs today are not just managers of companies; they are the faces of corporate reputation. When a CEO’s credibility and foresight are consistently highlighted in the media, it translates into stakeholder confidence and even financial advantage,” Jabal said.

He added, “The Index allows us to move beyond vanity metrics. It doesn’t just tell us who is loudest — it tells us who is being listened to with credibility. That distinction is critical for PR teams, boards, and investors.”

The launch of the Index at PR Congress 2025 highlights how executive visibility and media credibility are becoming central to the practice of modern public relations, providing PR practitioners with data-driven insights to better guide their organizations in a complex media landscape.
