It took 10 days for Peter Roncales, 19, to get to his home province from Parañaque City, Christian Evardone from Taft, Eastern Samar said on his Facebook post Monday night.

“This man just got here at a checkpoint in Taft after 10 days of biking. Losing job and financial difficulties prompted him to return home riding a bike,” Evardone said.

The post showed a photo of Roncales resting on a roadside near his bike with worn-out tires parked at the border control checkpoint.

A vehicle of Oras local government fetched him from the checkpoint to a quarantine center for locally stranded individuals.
