Renowned singer Jed Madela teams up with DJ M.O.D. and Darren & Cashwell for the sweet summer jam “Just For You.”
The pop track, about the delightful journey of being in love, has a mellow-pop beat and heartfelt lyrics that make the song perfect for driving or dance jams. The latest Star Music release was composed and produced by Darren & Cashwell and DJ M.O.D who believes Jed is the most fitting artist to record it.
“I immediately knew that Jed would be the perfect fit for this record,” DJ M.O.D. shared. “To be honest, it was a long overdue collaboration. Ang tagal na namin gusto ni Jed gumawa ng song together, and finally we have one! Jed is super professional with his craft and his approach and appreciation for music is second to none.”
Likewise, Jed was also thrilled upon hearing the song for the first time as it was different from the previous songs he had done.
“I’ve been talking to DJ M.O.D. for the longest time to come up with a song that is far from what I usually do. The first time I heard ‘Just For You,’ I immediately liked it because first, it was nothing close to what I usually do. Second, it sounded really happy and brought good vibes. Third, I became excited to see if my voice could work with that kind of sound,” Jed shared.
He also mentioned that he is looking forward to exploring upbeat and pop sound for his upcoming music.
“I’ve been in the business for more than 20 years now and somehow, I have recorded and tried out singing different kinds of songs in different styles. It’s a continuous process. You go with the times. You evolve in order to stay relevant but still keeping your real essence as an artist. But definitely, I will be exploring more of this sound,” he said.
Aside from his sold-out concerts in the Philippines and around the world, Jed earned recognition as the first Filipino to win the World Championships of Performing Arts. He is currently a mainstay of ABS-CBN’s Sunday noontime show “ASAP Natin ‘To” and a regular judge on “Tawag ng Tanghalan.” Meanwhile, his latest single “Just For You” landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday Philippines playlist.
