Manila Mayor and Aksyon Demokratiko standard-bearer Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso vowed to push for equality among Filipinos under his administration.

Moreno, speaking Thursday before his supporters and volunteers at the “Isko Kami” headquarters here, promised to treat every Filipino equally, whether they are from Mindanao, Visayas, or Luzon.

“I will treat and let you feel that all human beings are equal. That is my promise and I made that promise because I know I can do it,” Moreno said.

He said there will be no decisions that will “hurt the feelings, be harmful to life, or ruin a livelihood” under his government.

He also assured peace in Mindanao, adding: “Let there be peace in the Philippines, let there be peace in the 7,100 islands. Together we can bring back the glorious days of our country.”

Moreno led the inauguration of the “Isko Kami” headquarters along Veterans Avenue in Barangay Camino Nuevo.

Meanwhile, Moreno’s supporters are unfazed by the result of the national survey conducted from March 17 to 21 by Pulse Asia Research that showed their candidate ranked third at eight percent among the presidential aspirants.

Sallahudin Usman, coordinator of the “Isko Kami” group here, said they will continue to support Moreno whatever is the outcome of the survey.

“We value and respect the survey, but it is not enough to put us down or make us even switch support to another candidate,” he said in an interview.

From the Isko Kami headquarters, Moreno proceeded to a known local restaurant for lunch and met with members of the business community.

Accompanied by his running mate, Dr. Willie Ong, Moreno paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar before leading the group’s campaign rally in the evening. (PNA)
