On the first day of the campaign period for the 2025 Elections, Senator Risa Hontiveros expressed her strong support for her party, Akbayan and its first nominee, Atty. Chel Diokno, as she joined their house-to-house campaign in Tondo, Manila. Hontiveros and Diokno led a community walk through Jacinto, Lacson, Llana, and Varona, with Akbayan volunteers, Sangguniang Kabataan members and student leaders.

They then engaged residents in house-to-house visits from Ugbo to Barangay 105 Covered Court. During her speech, Hontiveros emphasized the need to elect allies in the Senate and Congress who will champion pro-people policies. In addition to supporting Atty. Chel Diokno, she also backed candidates former senators Kiko Pangilinan and Bam Aquino, both of whom are seeking to return to the Senate.
