Aside from the more than 400 leading local and international exhibitors that will showcase the latest technologies in manufacturing, packaging and processing, the three-day B2B exhibition Propak Philippines will also host the AIP seminar with its local equivalent, the Philippine Institute of Packaging (PIP) and the World Packaging Organization.

The workshops are as follows: “The Journey Towards Sustainable Packaging: The Challenges That Lie Ahead,’’ at 9:30 am to 12 noon; “The Future of Food Packaging: Food Waste and Save Food Packaging ‘’ at 1-3 p.m.; and “The Move Towards a Circular Economy and Closed Loop Programs” at 3-4:30 p.m.

AIP says attendees will learn various perspectives about the trends and challenges facing the packaging industry, including sustainable packaging, moving towards a circular economy and other topics such as addressing food waste and packaging design and programs for food.

ProPak Philippines will also host various workshops in manufacturing and packaging led by government agencies and manufacturing and business associations, such as Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) with its Packaging Technology Division (PTD), the Production and Operations Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP), the Philippine Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA), the Philippine Association of Food Technologists, Inc (PAFT), and the Active and Intelligent Packaging Industry Association (AIPIA).
