Giving a broader perspective on how humans can have easier access to deliveries, Dubai has recently conducted a series of drone delivery trials for customers’ convenience.

Recently, Dubai Silicon Oasis and other organizations have started three-week trials for its newly-built Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone delivery.

During the pandemic, delivery services have been one of the essential services that individuals worldwide have demanded, noting the restrictions and rules on community lockdowns.

Still relevant these days, delivery services can still be considered an important matter to individuals due to the convenience they can give them without leaving their houses.

Considering this concern worldwide, Dubai has recently introduced its delivery drones, which were submitted to trials on October 8.

The Dubai Silicon Oasis hosted a groundbreaking trial and will have its three-week drone delivery trials to ensure its effectiveness for the public. The effectiveness of the drone includes the assurance of the safety and security of the consumer goods that will be transferred using the drone.

According to its creators, the goal of the BVLOS delivery drone is to have development when it comes to technology concerning airspace for unmanned aerial vehicles. Considering this field, the team wanted to help with innovations when it comes to the transportation of goods via drones.

“This cooperation aims to enhance security and safety standards and enable public and private entities to use drones to provide the desired services. It will regulate activities related to the use of drones and create an environment conducive to investment in this sector in order to contribute to the strategy to make Dubai a center for the drone industry and smart and innovative air transportation systems,” the Executive Director at the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority said.

Taking this into account, this innovation from an international country will then show that innovations in such a field are possible and can be an inspiration to other countries, helping individuals to also benefit from such technology.
