Last January 2018, Ed Sheeran posted on Instagram his engagement with Cherry Seaborn saying: “Got myself a fiancée just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx”
And now, the notable singer is expecting his first child with his wife Cherry.
After keeping it as a secret during the mid of Covid-19 lockdown, Cherry is now on her last week of pregnancy.
A source from The sun claimed that the couple is “over the moon”.
“Lockdown was a perfect excuse not to be seen out and about too much, but things are getting closer and the excitement has been building so they have started telling friends and family,” according to a source. “They’re just making the last of the preparations at home, and the baby is expected later this summer.”
They added, “It’s a really happy time and their families are all totally delighted for them and cannot wait to meet the new arrival.”
After Sheeran takes a break from his music journey last Christmas, friends advised him that it’s the time to start a good family. His manager, Stuart Camp, also suggested that he may consider fatherhood.
The couple were childhood bestfriends before entering university. Sheeran admitted to having a crush on Seaborn when they were still friends. They started dating in 2015.
