As the coronavirus pandemic continues to affect people all over the globe, Don Bosco Parish steps up to offer accommodation to medical frontliners.

In collaboration with St. John Bosco Parish and Don Bosco School, the Salesians of Don Bosco offers their funeral chapels as a transient for the frontliners of Makati Medical Center. The Parish created makeshift beds by combining rows of chairs and placing mattresses at the center of each. As of press, a chapel can accommodate up to 35 people.

In addition, residents going in and out are thoroughly examined to maintain the place COVID-free.

Fr. Greg Bicomong Jr., SDB, the Parish Priest, also makes sure to provide the frontliners’ basic needs, including food and toiletries. The chapel is also equipped with drinking water, alcohol and N95 masks. Thanks to the donors who made this initiative possible.

The Parish opened its doors to healthcare workers on March 29. Such responsibility and stewardship has been observed more and more by Filipinos recently.
