The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Sunday reported no new confirmed case and no new fatality due to coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) among Filipinos abroad.

In its latest case bulletin, DFA said it did not receive any report of new infection nor death from their posts in the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa for the second time this month.

The total number of Covid-19 cases among Filipinos abroad remains at 9,001 while the death tally remains at 634.

Meanwhile, a total of 3,046 are still undergoing treatment and 5,321 have already recovered.

“While today’s figures bring hope in our fight against the pandemic, the DFA, together with its foreign service posts, remains relentless in assisting our people who are adversely affected, and steadfast in bringing our stranded nationals home as the department breached the 9,400 mark in our repatriations for the past five months yesterday,” the DFA said.
