“We prioritize the promotion and protection of the mental health and general welfare of our personnel and learners, especially amidst the challenges we face due to the crisis,” Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones said.

In the press release of DepEd, the helpline systems consist of contact details and information of Circle of Hope Community Services, Inc., COVID-19 Mental Health Responders from the Masters Psychological Services, Hopeline PH, and The 700 Club Asia.

According to DRRMS Director Ronilda Co the helplines systems provided by the department are a huge step to support the students and teaching personnel who are dealing with psychosocial and psychological distress.

Earlier this year, the DepEd conducted several educational programs and activities such as T.A.L.A.: Tuklasin, Alamin, Likhain at Alalahanin, OKKK! Tambayan (Online Kahusayan at Katatagan ng Kabataan) and Kakaiba-yanihan centering on mental health for learners, parents, and teaching personnel.
