The Jubahib political family secured a decisive victory in Davao del Norte’s midterm elections, with reelected Governor Edwin Jubahib and daughter Vice Governor-elect Clarice Jubahib winning by wide margins, Comelec results showed Tuesday.

Governor Jubahib, who garnered over 320,000 votes, pledged to expand his administration’s zero-billing hospital program and housing initiatives.

“No one will live in slums through our ‘pabahay’ program,” he vowed, also prioritizing the long-delayed Tadeco Road and Tuganay Bridge projects.

Newly elected Vice Governor Clarice, who received 223,000 votes, promised to champion her father’s KAAGAPAY program supporting indigenous communities through agriculture and livelihood programs.

“The Sangguniang Panlalawigan will never hinder development,” she assured. (PNA)
