Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong-based airline, permanently shuts down its ticketing offices in Manila and Cebu starting September 1, 2021.

The airline announced on Facebook on August 25 saying, “As we strive to bring a safer and contactless service option for customers, all ticketing transactions and inquiries may be coursed through our Global Contact Centers, which are available 24/7.”

Its two ticketing booths affected by the closure are located in LKG Towers, Makati City in Manila and Ayala Life-FGU Center in Cebu City.

Cathay Pacific said inquiries and ticketing transactions may be done through its Global Contact Centers. Passengers can also contact the airline on its official Facebook page through Messenger and may keep in touch with their respective travel agencies.

However, Cathay Pacific clarified those flights from Hong Kong to Manila and Cebu will remain unaffected by the closure and will continue to operate.

“To clarify recent reports about the closure of our Manila and Cebu ticketing offices from Sept. 1, 2021, we confirm that this only pertains to our ticketing counters, as the handling of bookings and other inquiries have been shifted to our Global Contact Centers, which offer a safer and contactless experience for our customers,” the airline clarified.
