The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) has assisted micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Antique to expand their market as well as improve the quality control and packaging of their products.

PCCI Antique Chapter president Rani Rodriguez, in an interview on Monday, said that as an offshoot of the Western Visayas Business Conference on Wheels in middle of July, several MSMEs were able to tap bigger markets in Iloilo and Aklan.

The conference, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry, was aimed at helping MSMEs find their market. It was the second provincial roadshow since its launch last year.

“Aside from introducing the MSMEs to the buyers, the PCCI also assists the MSMEs in the development of their products, such as on packaging and quality control,” he said.

PCCI helps them connect with government agencies that would assist them in their product development.

Proper packaging not only makes products presentable but also helps extend their shelf life.

Rodriguez said MSMEs are encouraged to join the PCCI and avail of its mentoring programs and other initiatives to help their business grow. (PNA)
