The health ministry of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has launched a web portal for its constituents to register for coronavirus disease 2109 (Covid-19) vaccinations.

BARMM health minister Dr. Bashary Latiph said Tuesday the portal initiative was a result of a collaboration among members of the Bangsamoro Inter-Agency Task Force Against Covid-19.

“This was made to provide a way, an avenue of BARMM constituents for preregistration on vaccination schedules,” Latiph said.

The minister said BARMM residents who wish to register may visit the website https://covid19.bangsamoro.gov.ph.

“The online system means people can submit their details and wait for their appointment through their devices, with links to further information about the vaccines and the BARMM’s jab rollout program,” Latiph said.

The official said the website also shows updated statistics of the region’s vaccination efforts and Covid-19 cases.

The latest data from the Ministry of Health–BARMM showed a total of 186,836 vaccinated constituents — 96,361 having completed their two doses or are fully vaccinated while 90,475 received their first doses.

The statistics cover the A1 (health front-liners), A2 (senior citizens), and A3 (persons with comorbidities) priority groups.

Presently, there are 450 active Covid-19 cases in the region.

The current recovery rate from the virus was placed at 91.4 percent based on cumulative recoveries of 8,727 patients from 9,547 cases since March last year.

The death toll from Covid-19 stands at 370. (PNA)
