In a Facebook post, Jae said that after his father died, he has promised to yearly paint his tomb with different designs connected to him.

“My papa’s tomb painting through the years,” Jae shared, including some of the designs he made.

It was in the year 2008 when Jae’s father died. Since then, he started painting his tomb with plants, flowers, his father’s hobbies, and recently, he painted a box of Marlboro.

“I never got the chance to show him where I am now and how far I’ve become as an artist, but I hope wherever he is right now, He is proud of me,” he exclaimed.

Jae also has his Youtube account where he posted and shared some of his works, tutorials on how you can start painting, D-I-Y crafts and arts, and his commissioned arts from companies.

Moreover, he also uploaded a video of how he painted his late father’s tomb in commemoration of his 63rd birthday last year, wherein he titled, “Painting my dad’s tomb for his 63rd birthday.”

“7 years ko na itong ginagawa. Usually ginagawa ko ‘to kapag November 1, pero since may pandemic ginawa ko na lang siya sa birthday niya para man lang maayos yung kaniyang resting place,” Jae said in the video.

According to Jae, his father is the reason why he becomes an artist, “Si papa yung nagturo sakin about sa arts. Siya yung gumagawa ng mga assignments ko kapag may kinalaman sa drawing nung bata pa ako,” he added.

Jae never failed in showering his late father all the love and attention he deserved, although he knows that his father will never have the chance to see his beautiful creations.

“So, if you still have the chance to show your parents how much you love them, do it,” Jae ended his statement.
