Tech giant Apple is leveling up the game as they introduced the new Apple Music Voice Plan designed exclusively for Siri.

In a press release by Apple on October 18, 2021, they announced the launching of the new Apple Music Voice Plan which offers subscribers access to the service’s catalog of 90 million songs; tens of thousands of playlists, including hundreds of brand new mood and activity playlists, personalized mixes, and genre stations; as well as the award-winning Apple Music Radio — all through Siri.

Apple Music currently offers three different plans: an individual plan for PHP 499 per month, a Family Plan for PHP 749 per month that includes access for six family members, and a new Voice plan accessed through Siri for PHP 249 per month.

The new Apple Music Voice Plan provides access to a massive song library and is marketed as being ideal for users of HomePod and AirPod devices, as well as those who prefer to utilize a voice assistant rather than touch their phone, and of course, it is ad-free. But it restricts the visual features of the Apple Music app.

Oliver Schusser, Vice President of Apple Music and Beats said that Apple Music and Siri are natural partners and already work seamlessly together.

“With Siri actively used on hundreds of millions of devices worldwide, we are thrilled to add this new plan that delivers an effortless music experience just by using your voice and makes Apple Music accessible to even more people around the world,” Schusser added.

Apple is certainly hoping that the Music Voice Plan will not only reach a broader audience but will also strike an attractive compromise between ad-supported free options like Spotify and the monthly price associated with traditional services.

At half the price of a standard, those who haven’t joined previously may be persuaded, however, people who are already paying for Apple Music may be able to transfer to the Voice plan and spend half of what they were before.

Moreover, the Apple Music Voice Plan will be available later this year in 17 countries and regions, including Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, according to Apple.
