An additional 156 police officers have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), a police official said on Thursday.

Citing the latest data as of Wednesday night, Philippine National Police (PNP) deputy chief for administration, Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said this brought the police force’s recovery count to 16,931.

The PNP also logged another 162 Covid-19 cases, 150 of whom are new infections while 12 are reinfections.

This raised the active cases to 2,123 out of a cumulative total of 19,105 cases.

Meanwhile, the number of PNP personnel vaccinated against Covid-19 has reached 9,475.

This can be broken down into 7,478 PNP personnel who were inoculated with Sinovac and 1,992 with AstraZeneca jabs.

Out of those who received Sinovac shots, 1,894 already got their second dose.

Three police attachés got Moderna vaccines while two police attachés received Pfizer jabs abroad. (PNA)
