Angel Locsin via Twitter confessed her regret for backing Sen. Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel’s senatorial campaign years ago.

It was a ‘mortal sin’, as the Darna actress described it, further disclosing that the senator was her cousin’s ex-husband.

When requested by a follower not do it again, she said that she has not for the succeeding terms.

The series of tweets was ended by her disgust when someone sent her a photo from said campaign.

Senator Pimentel sparked controversy for breach of quarantine protocol. On March 24, he learned via phone call that he is positive for coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) while he was in Makati Medical Center (MMC). Despite admitting that he left after escorting his pregnant wife, who was supposed to give birth, rumors circulated that he ‘toured’ and lingered the hospital premises. In a radio show interview, MMC Medical Director Dr. Javier revealed that the senator has been exposed to at least 6 to 8 medical staff.
