The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the International Graduate School of Leadership (IGSL) expanded their long-standing educational partnership with the signing of an addendum to its 2010 memorandum of agreement (MOA), in line with ongoing efforts to develop more leaders in the military.

In a statement Thursday, the military said the signing took place last June 3 and was presided over by acting AFP chief-of-staff Lt. Gen. Rommel Roldan and IGSL president Great Mabuti.

“The addendum strengthens the existing 2010 MOA for the Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership program, aimed at developing values-driven and effective leaders within the organization,” the AFP said.

Under the expanded agreement between the AFP and IGSL, eligibility for the scholarship program will now extend beyond commissioned officers to include qualified non-commissioned officers and non-uniformed personnel.

“The program provides a comprehensive package covering tuition, textbooks, on-campus accommodation, and a monthly stipend, and extends assistance to immediate family members, allowing eligible spouses to pursue a master’s degree or on-campus studies,” the AFP said.

The initiative underscores the AFP’s commitment to professional development and leadership excellence across all ranks, fostering a more capable, empowered, and future-ready force in support of its mission of service to the Filipino people. (PNA)
