Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula will lead a Mass for front-liners on Wednesday in recognition of their heroism in battling the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

The Mass will be held at the San Felipe Neri Parish at 9 a.m. in Mandaluyong City. Parish priest Fr. Hans Magdurulang will concelebrate the Mass.

“In this time of the pandemic, we also consider the front-liners, especially the medical workers, as heroes. In our fight against the Covid-19 virus, they are real heroes. The whole country is grateful to you,” Advincula said in an interview over Church-run Radio Veritas on Tuesday.

He added that the Mass for medical front-liners is to recognize their selflessness in working hard to contain the health crisis and save lives.

The church event will be live on Radio Veritas 846 and live-streamed on the Veritas FB page VERITAS846.PH, Radio Veritas Youtube channel, rcamaoc.org, and TV Maria. (PNA)
