Netflix announced on Thursday the preparation of the live-action series of the popular video game “Resident Evil”.
Starring , the series will be produced by Constantin Film—the studio of the “Resident Evil movie”. It will be written by “Supernatural” executive producer Andrew Dabb.
According to a source, the 8 episodes of the series “will feature a new brand-new story across timelines.”

The first timeline will center on siblings Jade and Billie Wesker, daughters of Dr. Albert Wesker, who transferred to New Racoon City. Soon, they will realize that the area runs secrets that could potentially destroy the world.
One zombie outbreak later, with less than 15 million population and 6 billion monsters living in the planet, the show will follow thirty-year-old Jade who “struggles to survive in this New World, while the secrets from her past — about her sister, her father, and herself — continue to haunt her.”
Aside from Milla Jovovich, no further details about the final cast or date of release have been announced yet.
