The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) on Monday assured public school teachers that there will be no unnecessary delay in the processing of their 2024 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB).

The DBM said it will work closely with the Department of Education (DepEd Philippines) to facilitate the release of the funds at the soonest possible time, following President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to expedite the process.

Under the 2024 PBB guidelines, DepEd has 20 calendar days from receipt of the Final Eligibility Assessment Report from the Technical Working Group created under Executive Order (EO) No. 61 to submit its Form 1.0, which identifies the officials and employees eligible for the bonus, the DBM said.

Once DepEd submits complete and accurate documents, the DBM said it will immediately review and process the required Special Allotment Release Order and Notice of Cash Allocation.

“We assure our beloved teachers that there will be no unnecessary delay on the part of the DBM,” the department said.

The 2024 PBB is part of the government’s performance-based incentive system for qualified government employees. The grant was approved earlier this year following the review and assessment process under EO 61.

The DBM issued the assurance as the country celebrates World Teachers’ Day, recognizing the contribution of public school teachers to educating millions of Filipino learners. (PNA)
