The government’s expanded Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food and Transport (UPLIFT) assistance has been released to 20,312 household beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Antique.

Jeffrey Gabucay, 4Ps Antique Provincial Link, said in an interview on Wednesday that the PHP2,000 one-time grant was released through their cash cards on July 20-21.

“I urge the 4Ps to use the UPLIFT in buying their food, considering that the household beneficiaries monitored children also have their educational cash aid,” Gabucay said.

In a separate interview, Darlene Abagat, Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) Team Leader in Antique, said that they have resumed the payout for the poor and near-poor beneficiaries on Wednesday to complete the release for the 690 identified recipients in San Jose de Buenavista.

During the simultaneous nationwide kickoff on Monday, they served 145 household beneficiaries.

“Those who could not still come during the payout because of being sick or other valid reasons, they just have to coordinate with the local government unit of San Jose de Buenavista so they could claim their assistance within the next three days,” Abagat said. (PNA)
