Spectators of the 13th edition of the Tan-ok ni Ilocano: Festival of Festivals at Ferdinand E. Marcos Memorial Stadium here will experience 360-degree viewing setup to bring presentations closer to viewers and enhance audience engagement.

The innovative stage design reflects the province’s commitment to honoring Ilocano heritage while embracing creative approaches that make culture more accessible and engaging for future generations, according to the provincial government.

Provincial tourism officer Aianree Raquel said Tuesday the stadium can accommodate up to 12,000 on the bleachers and at least 20,000 on the open field during the Feb. 28 dance competition.

“We are always preparing for a maximum occupancy for the stadium,” Raquel said in an interview.

All 22 municipalities and component cities in Ilocos Norte will participate, showcasing cultural performances that will highlight local celebrations, traditions and heritage.

“We are full force for Tan-ok 2026. We are finalizing our stage setup and we are done with blocking rehearsals of all participants,” Raquel said.

With limited parking near the stadium, Raquel advised the public to carpool. Parking will be available along the bypass road for private vehicles, including trucks and buses transporting participants and props.

Shuttle or loop services will operate with pickup and drop-off points along the bypass road, in front of the Capitol, and at the stadium.

Free general admission tickets are available online at www.tanok.ilocosnorte.ph. Limited premium tickets for PHP1,000, with reserved seating and refreshments, can be purchased at the Provincial Treasury Office. (PNA)
