To improve police mobility and visibility, police authorities in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) distributed three modern light transport vehicles (LTVs) worth PHP4.8 million to three police stations in the region.

“The turnover of these LTVs will greatly benefit police stations by improving response time in their respective areas,” Brig. Gen. Jaysen de Guzman, regional director of Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), said in a statement Thursday.

De Guzman led the turnover of the LTVs during a ceremony on Wednesday at Camp SK Pendatun, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte.

Recipients of the LTVS vehicles are the Lamitan City Police Office in Basilan, Sultan Mastura Municipal Police Station in Maguindanao del Norte and the Ampatuan Municipal Police Stations in Maguindanao del Sur.

Each LTV is valued at PHP1.6 million.

“With improved transportation capabilities, PRO-BAR personnel work more efficiently and provide better police services,” the police official further said.

De Guzman urged LTV recipients to keep their equipment in proper working condition to respond effectively to emergencies. (PNA)
