The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 13 (Caraga Region) has distributed 37,836 family food packs to families affected by Typhoon Tino.

As of Wednesday, the DSWD-13 reported that 20,752 packs were distributed across Surigao del Norte – 13,900 on Siargao Island, 4,182 in Surigao City, and 2,670 in mainland towns.

Dinagat Islands received 11,197 packs distributed to six towns: San Jose (1,000), Cagdianao (4,995), Dinagat (942), Tubajon (846), Libjo (2,307), and Loreto (1,107).

The Agusan del Norte towns of Tubay and Nasipit received 1,414 packs, while Butuan City got 1,561.

Two towns in Surigao del Sur received 2,910 packs, and Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur received two packs.

“The DSWD-13 continues to coordinate with the local government units and monitor the situation in the area,” the agency said. (PNA)
