Just recently, Apple officially disclosed its newest features and products that are coming to the market for the fall season.

During the annual 2023 Worldwide Developers Conference, one of the features that the company announced was “Name Drop,” which will give users a more accessible way to share contacts and files.

According to Apple, they made such an innovation to provide a more convenient way of sharing photos and files with each other, especially in today’s era.

With this newest feature, users can share and exchange contacts, including files and pictures, automatically by touching their phones closer together.

Aside from files and photos, Name Drop also supports the exchange of email addresses and contact information.

It also has “SharePlay,” which brings the devices together and allows you to watch a live stream video or just listen to the playlist concurrently on each other’s iPhones.

The said feature was disclosed to cover its phone products and other devices, such as the iWatch.

With this new feature, netizens were in awe of what it could do for their everyday lives. “No need for business cards anymore,” a netizen said.

This was agreed upon by other viewers, who stated that it would be more convenient, especially in a business setup, to easily access files and contacts.

Name Drop was disclosed to be compatible with the iPhone SE up to its latest models, as well as its iWatch, and was targeted to launch this September.

Other than this feature, Apple also announced its upcoming products, such as the Apple Vision Pro, which lets an individual access digital content in a physical space.
