Two farmer’s groups from the Caraga Region have showcased their products at the Philippine Coffee Expo 2023 held from June 2 to 4 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

The groups included the Casiklan Wheels Farmers Association, Inc. (CAWFAI) from Barangay Casiklan of Las Nieves town, Agusan del Norte province, and the San Nicolas Development Cooperative (SANIDECO) of Tagbina town, Surigao del Sur province.

Both are beneficiaries of the Philippine Rural Development Program (PRDP) of the Department of Agriculture.

In a statement Monday, the CAWFAI said the Philippine Coffee Expo 2023 served as a venue to present their best Robusta coffee product.

“We were able to exhibit our CAWFAI Robusta coffee product to individuals and groups during the expo,” the organization said.

It added that the event also served as a break for the group to widen the marketing of their coffee products.

SANIDECO is composed of five organizations of coffee farmers in Tagbina and nearby towns in Surigao del Sur.

The Philippine Coffee Expo 2023 served as an avenue for the country’s coffee industry to converge and discuss key issues, new technologies, and opportunities through technical discussions. (PNA)
