The special vaccination days in some regions of the Visayas and Mindanao last week have reached 60 percent of its target population, a health official said Friday.

The government held a vaccination drive in Cebu from March 29 to 31 and in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) from March 30 to April 1.

In a Palace briefing, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said a total of 32,826 persons had been vaccinated in Cebu province, about 42,986 in the Davao Region; 1,621 in Soccsksargen; and 12,606 in BARMM.

As of March 30, the national Covid-19 vaccination dashboard showed a total of 7,014,727 doses of Covid-19 have been administered in Central Visayas; 5,404,366 in the Davao Region; 3,823,094 in Soccsksargen; and 1,467,157 in BARMM.

“About 65.9 million of our fellowmen are fully vaccinated as of March 31, 2022. This is 73 percent of our targeted population,” Vergeire said.

A total of 71.2 million individuals or 79 percent of the target population have received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

Out of the 44 million fully vaccinated, about 12 million have received their booster shots.

For the pediatric population, about 933,000 are fully vaccinated.
