Today marks the 56th Anvil Awards, the most anticipated award in the Public Relations (PR) industry in the Philippines.

Considered as the ‘Oscars’ of the PR industry in the country, the Anvil Awards aims to recognize the most impactful and excellent PR and communication campaigns or programs by companies and PR agencies alike.

The first-ever online Anvil Awards will take place today, February 19 from 6:00PM onwards, following the 27th National Public Relations Congress.

This year’s theme “PR for Good” will recognize purpose-driven and impactful initiatives that are said to promote corporate integrity and the social good during crises across platforms.

This year’s Anvil Awards is divided into four categories, adding a category specifically for COVID-related programs and tools. The categories for the 56th Anvil Awards are as follows:
• COVID-related PR programs and tools
• Digital PR Programs
• Digital PR tools
• Crisis or issues management for government

Entries for the Anvil Awards are screened carefully by seasoned PR practitioners and judged by a distinguished multi-sectoral jury.

Grand Anvil Award is the highest award given for the most outstanding PR program that bested all Gold Anvil Award for the PR program. Platinum Anvil Award is the highest award given for the most outstanding PR tools that stood out among other Gold Anvil Awards for RP tools. Followed by Gold and Silver Anvil Awards are given to those who have met the standard PR set criteria.

Apart from the coveted Grand Anvil and Platinum Anvil Award, the Anvil Awards also gives special awards for companies and PR agencies; Hall of Fame Award, Agency of the Year Award and Company of the Year Award.
