Relieve the pain from sore ears with this face mask hack!

Unless you’re a healthcare professional, odds are you’ve never had much of a reason to use a face mask before. But in the era of coronavirus pandemic, wearing masks has become the new norm.

This mandatory accessory has taken some getting used to but it’s one way to protect yourself and others from the spread of COVID-19.

However, because we are currently faced with another sobering challenge, th e long-term use of this PPE is making our ears sore. Masks start to irritate and pull uncomfortably on our ears after extended wear. To remedy this, here’s an easy-to-make DIY face mask worth trying!

Wearing a face mask for an extended period of time. Sew a button to a headband to keep from destroying your ears. from r/lifehacks

Using a needle and thread, sew your buttons to your headband, any spare t-shirt, or fabric on hand. The larger the button, the better because it will make it easier to wrap your elastic around them. Once the buttons are sewn in place, your headband is ready to wear!

This will definitely relieve pressure off your ears and make those surgical masks more comfortable for longer periods.
