The results of the 2019 Bar examinations will be released on April 29, the Supreme Court (SC) said Thursday.
In a notice, Bar Confidant and Deputy Clerk of Court Rosita M.R. Nacional said the results of the examinations will be uploaded on the high court’s website after an en banc session.
“In light of the government’s call for social distancing to prevent the spread of the (coronavirus disease 2019) outbreak, everyone is advised to stay home in their respective homes and check the results online,” Nacional said.
No visitors will be allowed to enter the SC compound on the said date and the list of bar passers will not be displayed in the court premises, it added.
It also advised would-be passers to wait for further announcements regarding the “clearance procedure, oath-taking ceremony and roll-signing”.
Out of a total of 8,304 who initially applied to take the grueling four-week examinations for aspiring lawyers last November, only 7,699 completed the examinations after nine applications were denied and 50 withdrew before the exams.
The 2019 Bar examinations is chaired by Associate Justice Estela Perlas-Bernabe. (PNA)
