President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to arrive today to personally assess the extent of damages wrought by Typhoon Tisoy when it battered Bicol on Monday night.

“Preparations are being finalized as to the agenda to be presented and discussed during the joint National and Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council meeting where the Chief Executive will preside,” Claudio Yucot, Office of Civil Defense (OCD)-Bicol regional director announced during the RDRRMC meeting in this city on Wednesday.

The President, upon arrival, will inspect the damages caused by the typhoon on the Legazpi Airport Passenger Terminal and afterward will proceed to the Legazpi City Convention Center for the meeting.

He will be accompanied by NDRRMC and other national government agency officials. (PNA)
