A total of 9,044 police front-liners have so far been inoculated with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported on Monday.

Citing latest data, Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, PNP deputy chief for administration, said this includes 7,152 police officers vaccinated with Sinovac vaccines and 1,892 with AstraZeneca jabs.

Of the 7,152 police officers injected with Sinovac, around 1,703 were already given their second dose.

Eleazar added that three police attachés got Moderna vaccines while two police attachés received Pfizer jabs abroad.

Meanwhile, another 188 PNP personnel have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing the total recovery tally to 16,390 as of Sunday night.

Meanwhile, another 140 police officers contracted Covid-19, 138 of whom are classified as new infections while two are reinfections.

This brings the police force’s total number of active cases to 2,228.

The PNP has so far recorded a total of 18,669 Covid-19 cases, with 51 deaths. (PNA)
