The provincial government of Ilocos Norte on Monday distributed cash incentives to children of Capitol workers who are performing well in school as part of its Smart Kids Program.

Governor Cecilia Araneta Marcos led the distribution of PHP7,000 to 92 children of Capitol workers who finished elementary, senior high school and college on top of their classes.

In her short speech, Marcos lauded the recipients for their hard work, and the parents for their unconditional support to their children.

“This is a big opportunity for all of you… this is really something that you are proud of. In a way, this also helps your parents,” Marcos told the recipients.

“The cash incentive is a great boost to our children, as well as to the proud parents,” Fe Siazon, human resources management officer, said following the cash distribution.
