The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Davao Region (DSWD-11) has released over PHP161.4 million in financial assistance under the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) program as of Aug. 27.

In a public post Thursday, DSWD-11 said 80,738 households across the region have benefited from the program, which provides livelihood, food, and transport support to vulnerable families.

Under the initiative, qualified recipients are entitled to monthly cash assistance of PHP2,000.

The UPLIFT program is part of the government’s continuing social protection efforts to strengthen household resilience and ensure timely aid delivery.

“The assistance reflects the agency’s commitment to expand support for communities, highlighting the importance of sustained partnerships with local government units and organizations in reaching more beneficiaries,” the agency added.

Running through December, the subsidy helps families buffer rising costs, secure food, and manage daily household needs.

DSWD-11 is targeting a total of 116,769 individuals in the Davao Region for the program. (PNA)
