The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and the city government of San Juan have partnered to establish a 30-story building project under the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.

In a news release on Wednesday, DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar said the building is just one of the multiple housing projects proposed by the city government to DHSUD under 4PH.

“More than just another event or another project launch, this is a dream turning into reality,” he said.

The DHSUD is committed to fast-tracking the housing projects in response to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive and the reported housing needs in San Juan City, he added.

He also emphasized that DHSUD will continue collaborating with local governments and key shelter agencies (KSAs) to ensure the timely delivery of quality homes.

Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), one of DHSUD’s KSAs, is spearheading the project in a 2,577-square-meter lot area secured by the local government.

The building will rise in Barangay Batis, providing 1,029 housing units, each measuring 25 square meters. The project will include modern amenities, including a multipurpose area and other essential facilities.

SHFC President Federico Agustin Laxa assured the potential beneficiaries that they will fast-track the construction and completion of the project as they have gained full support of San Juan City.

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora expressed gratitude to President Marcos and Acuzar for their dedication to providing housing opportunities for all Filipinos.

Zamora said more housing projects will be developed in the city under 4PH. (PNA)
