There’s definitely no shortage in OPM music these days, with artists dropping tracks one after the other that give out a sense of comfort, empathy, inspiration, and hope to Filipinos.

If you’re in the lookout for new songs and music videos to stream, here are some new and forthcoming releases from ABS-CBN Music to check out:

1. “Miss You in the Moonlight” by Jake Zyrus

A song which delves on one’s regrets towards a failed relationship because of personal shortcomings, Jake Zyrus’ new single will surely stir powerful emotions from listeners. Composed by Gabriel Tagadtad and produced by ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo, the song marks Jake experimenting on the jazz-pop genre.

“I’m most comfortable with this new single because I just discovered the genre that my voice is most comfortable with—jazz-pop. Also since I was young I’ve always wanted to sing old songs,” explained Jake.

2. “She” by SAB

Young singer-songwriter SAB’s debut single under Star Music “She,” inspired by her personal coming-of-age story, was released early this month to encouraging responses. The track scored inclusions in Spotify’s New Music Friday playlists in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong as well as a placement in a Spotify Japan editorial playlist, much to SAB’s gratitude.

“My heart goes out to all the people who have been listening, streaming and watching ‘She’. It brings a smile to my face every time I think about it. It truly means the world to me,” gushed SAB.

3. Music video of “Used to Do” by Pau Palacio

Singer-actress Pau Palacio takes viewers on a carefree outdoor stroll while observing proper health practices in the music video of her upbeat Not So Famous single “Used to Do” with American singer-songwriter Delly Flay, about a failing romance that needs a recharge.

Pau evokes a feisty aura in the MV while also emanating a chill vibe through her subtle dance moves. Her collaborator Delly Flay also makes an appearance in the video by rapping his verse through FaceTime, portraying Pau’s lover.

4. Music video of “Ikaw Pala” by Heaven Peralejo

Set on the backdrop of lush mountain greeneries and sunlit sky, the music video for Heaven’s “Ikaw Pala” from Star POP is the perfect allusion to her hopeful sophomore single. The video, which sees the promising singer-actress gently navigating the fields, mirrors the song’s message about patiently waiting to meet the right person despite being alone for now.

Stream SAB’s “She” on various digital platforms and the music video of Heaven’s “Ikaw Pala” on Star Music’s YouTube channel. Jake’s “Miss You in the Moonlight” will be available on various music platforms starting Friday (July 31), while Pau’s “Used to Do” music video will premiere on Monday (August 3) at 7pm.
