Eight families, consisting of 24 individuals, will return home to Camarines Sur through the national government’s Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa Program (BP2) on Thursday.

From the BP2 depot in Quezon City where they underwent reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction swab tests to ensure that they are negative for Covid-19, they will board a bus and are expected to arrive Friday morning.

In previous instances of positive Covid-19 test results, the infected beneficiary and the close contacts spent 14 days at a quarantine facility.

During the quarantine, BP2 organizers provided for their needs.

Thursday’s batch was the ninth dispatch of the program that has so far benefitted 370 individuals, according to the National Housing Authority-BP2 secretariat.

Four individuals who previously tested positive for Covid-19 will also leave for Ormoc on Friday.

The BP2 program has sent families back to Leyte, Isabela, Davao del Norte, and other parts of Bicol.
