The Department of Health in Caraga (DOH-13) said two provinces and three cities in the region have registered zero coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections last week.

In a weekly report on Monday, DOH-13 identified the provinces as Agusan del Norte and Dinagat Islands, and the cities as Bayugan in Agusan del Sur, and Tandag and Bislig in Surigao del Sur.

As for the rest of the region, DOH-13 said from April 4 to 9, 15 new infections were recorded, bringing the total cumulative number of cases in the region to 58,813 since the pandemic was declared in early 2020.

“In the same period, Caraga Region has a remaining 23 active Covid-19 cases with zero severe and critical admissions,” the agency said.

Total recoveries in the region have already reached 56,608, with 29 new recoveries also logged last week.

Total Covid-19 related death count in the region is at 2,182 as five deaths were also recorded during the period.

DOH-13 also reported that as of April 10, at least 1,535,375 individuals in the region are already fully vaccinated for Covid-19. The number represents 67.7 percent of the total target population for vaccination in the region.

As of the same period, 3,186,750 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered, while 176,681 individuals in Caraga have received booster shots. (PNA)
