9. Why you loved them in the first place

Finally, the eternal question, the question that’s been hiding behind all the other ones. Who did you fall in love with, and why did you fall in love with them? Does that person still exist? If not, are you willing to learn how to love this new person?

People fall in love for any number of reasons (i.e. a unique connection, the closeness of friendship, loneliness, desperation, etc.). But it remains to be seen for you whether those reasons are enough to keep you going.
