4. Gunitâ: The 10th Philippine International Literary Festival (PILF), June 14-15

Philippine literature is alive and kicking. If you didn’t know that, check out Gunitâ: The 10th Philippine International Literary Festival (PILF) on June 14-15, 2019, at the Great EAstern Hotel, Diliman, Quezon City. While pre-registration is required, the event is free and will include talks, workshops, performances, exhibits, tabletop games, spoken word poetry performances, musical performances, and of course, a book fair. BUT WAIT–THERE’S MORE! Renowned writers and professionals in the industry will also share their experiences in the field of literature and history; still, if that isn’t enough for you, Estela Vadal, a robot created by programmer and author Marlon Hacla, will be present and writing poems for the public in Filipino.
