This will be another Pinoy adaptation of a South Korean film in the works, this time starring Yassi Pressman, who is fresh off her role as Alyana in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”!

The plot revolves around two orphans who meet in high school and grow up to be great friends who share a home. When K learns that he has a fatal illness, he keeps it a secret from Cream, as well as his feelings for her, and advises her to marry a good and affluent man. Cream, unbeknownst to K, has her own secret. Yassi conveyed her feelings about the project by saying that she can’t help but be moved by the story.

Yassi was first apprehensive to proceed with the idea because the film is popular among Asian drama enthusiasts and has already been adapted by other countries.

Yassi said that she doesn’t want to think about how the original actors did the film while she was working on this remake and how she wanted to appear as natural as possible. She added that she was used to ‘Ang Probinsyano,’ where the scripts were given on the spot, and how this helped her channel and release her rawest performances.

In 2018, “More Than Blue” was made into a Taiwanese film of the same name, which premiered at the 23rd Busan International Film Festival and gained critical acclaim. Yassi, on the other hand, said that she is actively avoiding seeing the original and the other remake in order to avoid copying what they did.

The film is a Vivamax Original, starring the new face of romance drama Yassi Pressman and JC Santos, with Diego Loyzaga and Ariella Arida under the direction of Nuel Crisostomo Naval, streaming exclusively on Vivamax on November 19.
