The top cop of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO-6) bade farewell to his troops at the Antique Provincial Police Office (APPO), a week prior to his retirement from the police service.
Brig. Gen. John Bulalacao, in a media interview here, said that he came to thank the APPO led by Lt. Col. Leo Irwin Agpangan for their support.
“I came to say goodbye to my troops at the APPO and to thank them for their support to my leadership,” he said.
Bulalacao said that he considers his stint in the region as successful because of the strong collaboration with the Philippine Army (PA).
As he’s about to exit the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bulalacao urged the APPO to always protect their service reputation, practice discipline, be dedicated to their duties and invoke the guidance of the Lord in whatever they do.
“Always protect your service reputation for it is very important and it precedes wherever you go,” he said.
Bulalacao said that lack of discipline could affect the entire police organization and even lead to defeat in their operations.
“When we took our oath as new police recruits, we promised to be dedicated in our work responsibilities so let us stand by it always,” he said.
He said that police personnel must also remember that it is their work that provides them with a source of living so they could earn enough for their families.
“Always invoke the guidance of the Lord in whatever you do, for it is the Lord that will help you carry out your work responsibly and extend service to our countrymen,” he said.
During his stint, Bulalacao said the APPO was recognized for its successful operations against the seven members of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army and National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) who were killed August 15 last year in Barangay Atabay here because of their extortion activities.
The police regional director assumed his post in Western Visayas last June 5, 2018. (PNA)
