Uber, Grab Limit Surge Pricing This Holiday Till Next Year

After a warning from Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board about the unreasonable surge pricing, Uber and Grab officially released their statements on limiting surge prices this holidays till next year.

Uber placed surge price limit that will remain effective til Jan. 15 2017, while Grab placed same surge limit till Jan 30 of next year.

“LTFRB has not been consulted on Uber’s upfront fares based on predictions” LTFRB added.

The organization also pointed out that they will suspend or cancel the accreditation of these ride-sharing apps if the unreasonable surge pricing persists.
