Toilet Paper Dispensing Machine With Facial-Recognition Feature Sets To Stop Hoarders

One of the most historic temples in Beijing is now using modern technology to give tissue hoarders a hard time.

Temple of Heaven installed a toilet paper dispensing machines in its three restrooms. These machines require facial recognition to dispense enough amount of paper for each person.

This is the park’s response to the reports of toilet hoarders which consumed 30 rolls of papers per day.

Visitor’s faces need to be scanned by a sensor mounted on a wall. After scanning, the machine will dispense toilet paper which about 60cm-long. The machine will now identify and remember each face.

However, the Temple has not disclosed the limit of toilet paper per person.
