The Golden State Warriors -– one of the top contenders for the title in the NBA 2016-2017 season and one of the most popular basketball teams in the world -– held its second Filipino Heritage Night for 2016 last Sunday when they went up against the Phoenix Suns which they beat, 133-120. After sealing a community partnership with the world-class sports team, ABS-CBN International’s TFC got the chance to participate fully in its first Warriors Filipino Heritage Night, together with community partners Filipino American Arts Exposition (FAAE), Filipina Women’s Network (FWN) and 600 Hands.

For its first Filipino Heritage Night presented by Cache Creek, TFC unveiled exciting Filipino American pop-up restaurants, Nipa and Hookt, at the tailgate and received a very enthusiastic appreciation from the Warriors fans. ABS-CBN Foundation International also reached out to the fans to promote their “Power of Good” t-shirts for a cause. A lot of exciting activities happened last Sunday in Oracle Arena, Oakland. TFC acknowledges Warriors Director of Group Sales Maria Valdehueza and Warriors Account Executive for Group Sales Ashley Tow for the Warriors’ FilAm community outreach.
